Between 2010 and 2017, the Toronto Police Service lost nearly 500 offices due to budget cuts. With the reduction of another 400 officers planned, the Toronto Police Association was worried about the effect these cuts would have on the public’s safety. To raise awareness about these devastating cuts, the Toronto Police Association engaged Proximis’ services. These services included a brand-new website, ads, and social media content. In addition to this, we also produced videos telling the true stories of times when budget cuts had catastrophic effects on the safety of the public.
Within days of the Stop the Toronto Police Cuts website launching, the site was covered by CBC News, CityNews, CTV Toronto, and the Toronto Star.
